The ‘professional’ me

I first became interested in digital photo manipulation with the onset of a disability allowing me time, and a need to express myself creatively. My interest in digital photography was born with the gift of my first digital camera (Olympus C4000) for Christmas 2002, and the purchase of a new Boston Terrier puppy just prior (August of the same year). My ‘hobby’ has since escalated to a full fledged passion (I like to say a monster was created)!

I started with a tiny little web cam…I had the cutest little Boston Terrier puppy, and I went online to not only research the breed (backwards, I know…this should have been done BEFORE the purchase!) and share his adorable antics with others on bulletin boards and forums. Well…we’d only ever had boxers (and one doberman…big dogs!) so I found this new little creature fascinating! And SUCH a personality! I make no apologies for being completely in love with the Boston Terrier breed!

Anyway, I wanted to post pictures to share with others, but he had the unfortunate habit of doing the cutest things in front of ugly backgrounds with poor lighting, so I learned to change them. I had a demo version of Paint Shop Pro (back when it was owned by Jasc) and I was lost, but I learned, and have continued to learn every time I pick up the mouse and open my graphics editing program!

The opportunities for artistic expression available with digital imaging (cameras and software) are endless, and with God’s grace my intention is to explore them all til my dying breath!

I live with my husband of 30 years, and 2 dogs (Boston Terrier and Boxer) in a small village in Ohio (US). I do hope that all who view my work take a small portion of the inspiration that I felt in it’s creation away with them.

I used to offer custom photo restoration/manipulation services, where I specialized in pet art, but sadly my health (chronic pain sufferer) seldom allows me the pleasure. If you’d like to submit a photo for consideration please do so though..you never know! If it really inspires me, I’ll work my magic on it.

I charge no fees but do reserve rights to the final work. Photo credit, and a link to your website will be given, along with a signed copy for you to print out and any products from any of my shops at COST! Check here if you’d like more details.

It is also my pleasure to donate 10% of all monthly proceeds to Boston Terrier and Boxer rescue.
