Celebs Donate to Online Auction Benefitting Local Rescue!

Make Holidays Wishes come true for a homeless dog.

New Boston, MI—Home for the Holidays takes on a whole new meaning for a homeless dog waiting for that special person or family!   A Better Place Rescue is gearing up for the Holidays with an online auction that is getting the attention, and support of some big name celebrities…Auction dates/times for individual items may vary slightly.  Look to bid early this the week.  A full list of items should be available for you to browse & plan your bids on Monday, November 16,2009. Auction items will be on display at our upcoming event (Michigan Pet Expo). 

The auction will include items from: 

 Pryor’s Planet, the all breed dog rescue founded by Jennifer Lee Pryor and Richard Pryor,  Jennifer Pryor will be donating several items to auction off, including an award given to Richard Pryor,

Artist Bruce Lehto will donate an original Oprah acrylic painting on canvas,

Vivid Crystal Wood Signs will be donating a wood “Welcome” sign,

Photographer Barb Lehto will donate a laminated poster-sized print of her original photograph of Kid Rock on the set of “Roll On”,

 Jack Kenny will donate a signed copy of his book Cuba as well as an original signed print,

Musician John Shipe has an item enroute,

Producer, Director Tom McPhee will be donating a copy of An American Opera as well as a signed poster,

 Dean Russo Art will be debuting a NEW “Pit Bull” art piece in our auction AND other items are still arriving daily….

A Better Place is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization!  All items purchased by the final bidder is tax deductible. 100%  of the final bid goes to help the animals at A Better Place.  We are a group of foster homes, specializing in all-breed dog rescue and pet education. We believe that long term kenneling is unhealthy for the animals, therefore A Better Place has volunteer foster families who care for dogs until a forever home is located. We strongly believe that the people in the community make the difference and that education is the key.  Our Mission: Provide companion animal education, promote and provide spaying and neutering of pets, and continue rescue work to make the community “A Better Place”.
