Please join me in congratulating Liz ‘Moragana’ as the first place ‘little dog’ winner of our Facebook Save a Dog contest! Liz started out with 0 points at the start of the contest, and ended it with almost 17, 000 points and 6 cups of food earned for shelter dogs in need! She’s continued to ‘play’ after completion of the contest, and to date has earned just shy of 22,000 points earning 8 cups of food! FANTASTIC!
Liz is one of the people I got to know a little over the course of the contest and it’s been a real pleasure. She really didn’t give me anything in the way of a bio to post, but I can tell you that she’s been active with rescue for many years, and when asked which website if any she’d like me to link to, not having a website of her own she chose Boston Terrier Rescue of North Carolina as the recipient, which tells you a little about her character. She is a fellow Boston Terrier lover, and had this to say
I will never understand the love I have for the Boston, but to have found other people who understand that love and devotion is the greatest, I often wonder if the other breeds bring out the same in folks. Is there a Poodles r us, or similar out there? My non dog friends can’t get over how we use our dogs pics for our profile pics!
Did I also mention Liz is a character? 
Liz included a photo of her dog (sadly no longer with us), Buster, and had this to say about him
Buster was one of the best dogs anyone could have the pleasure of sharing life with. He was three different dogs rolled up in one, he was that dog a young boy needs at 10 years old, he was my hubby’s lap dog and to me,my faithful guardian. I have had five BT’s and a number mixed doggies but none could compare to Buster. He always knew how I felt.
Liz chose a copy of one of my most popular designs, True Friend Boston Terrier
as her prize, and a signed, matted 8 1/2″ x 11″ copy of it (and a little surprise as well) is on it’s way to her as I type this.
Thanks so much again Liz for participating in the contest, and for being an example to us all that even little things like ‘playing a fun game’ on Facebook can make a difference in the lives of shelter animals!
